We know how it is difficult to keep in mind a lot of notifications and remarks to each task and cope with all issues that arise during the workflow. Therefore, we created such an app for your team to keep focus on high-priority issues and let you effectively manage their backlogs. Boomerang: Reminders for Jira Issues integrates with Jira Cloud and it is your help to remind periodically about all important technical difficulties that you may face in your tasks.

Manage your reminders

Configuration of this tool is very simple and intuitive. Firstly, you will love the sign of the Boomerang   on the issue view panel.

After selecting, you will see button +Add reminder.  After clicking on this button, you will be able to add such information:

  • Reminder Message
  • Reminder Recipients
  • Date
  • Time
  • Recurring
Add reminder

For each reminder, you can add not only one but the number of recipients you need. Then select time and date when the reminder trigger should be turned on. At the Recurring drop-down menu select at what frequency the reminder should work after setting. Be sure to click a button Save.

The excellence of the tool is that you can view the number of all reminders which were added on the issue view panel. Moreover, you can add more than one reminder to each issue, so it makes your work much easier!

Notifications

The Notifications of the app work when the reminder time trigger will be turned on then all the comments with the warning will be added to issues where the Boomerang is configured. However, if you didn’t change the setting to your Jira’s notification, all the recipients will get messages to their emails.

Issue reminder list

To view the list of added reminders go to the add-on on your left panel. Find the installed Boomerang below Jira settings menu and click on it to open the add-on. In this list you can monitor the Reminders Queue added by you or other users from your account and see the reminders’ status. But, on the other hand, you can delete only those which were added by you.
